Broadcom N1400GD 400GbE OCP 3.0 Adapter

The Broadcom N1400GD is a single-port 400GbE OCP 3.0 Ethernet adapter built on Broadcom's scalable 400G controller architecture (BCM57608, "Thor 2"), designed for AI/ML, cloud, high-performance computing, and storage networking in the server. The card presents one QSFP112-DD port running from 25Gb/s up to 400Gb/s over a PCIe 5th Generation x16 host connection. It supports fourth-generation, standards-based RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCEv2) with hardware-based congestion control, which Broadcom designed to deliver low, predictable latency and simplify RoCE deployment at data-center scale. The TruFlow flow-processing engine offloads virtual-switch handling from the host CPU to increase virtual-machine density, and on-chip tunneling support for Geneve, VXLAN, and NVGRE accelerates overlay-network processing. Platform security is anchored in a silicon Root-of-Trust with secure boot and attestation. Multi-host connectivity and 16-physical-function NIC partitioning let the adapter serve multiple CPUs or tenants, and the card integrates directly with Broadcom's PCIe Gen 5 switches for GPU-based AI/ML servers.
